ABOUT OTOWN FOOD TOURS

OTown Food Tours was dreamed up by owner and founder, Rick Proffer, out of a passionate desire to celebrate and tell the stories of his adopted hometown, Ogden, Utah. After spending the first 30 years of his life moving from place to place, he and his wife, Barbara, moved to Ogden in 1996 and put down roots at the foot of the majestic Wasatch Mountains.

Following his retirement from public education, Rick realized it was time to write the next chapter, and decided to combine his love of food, storytelling and place into what became OTown Food Tours.

OTown Food Tour’s mission is to support and celebrate Ogden through food and story. As a registered Benefit LLC, we know that when community members care for and support each other, we all thrive. Out of this abundance, a portion of our profits goes to local non-profit organizations as they support children and families in our community.
